I love the "newness" of busness ventures! I have had the opportunity to work with Ms. Dorian Devine as she launches her company "Lifestyles by Dorian Devine". This is fun! I mean we are starting bare bones as far a branding goes! Color scheme, persona, logo...the life of her brand...has unfolded in front of my eyes. This has been one of my most challenging projects but it has also been extreamly rewarding! I have expanded my skill set  and designed her:

New Projects

Community Service for me is addictive. Above all other types of promotion, I get the most joy from it. I have decided to allocate more time toward community service promotion in both my personal life as well as my current role in my day job.  Here are some things I really look forward to working with:

Homeless Collection: Dec. 18th, 2011
-Branding a group (as I think is necessary seeing as this is the 3rd year running and growing)
-Preparing promotional material
-Press release for promotion

Toys for Tots:
Since this is one that already exists I will simply be advising the group wanting to get involved to become active and lend their talents. Leading by example, I hope to volunteer on the promotional front. Whatever it takes.

Dress for Success:
Would like to organize a collection for women joining the work force again. I was inspired to do so when I was faced with the question of what to do with 20-some odd pairs of good condition, good quality shoes that I can not wear. If I have something- I know some other people that may like to join in. Looking at mid spring for this one.

Prom dress drives:
I am literally all "dressed up" with no place to go. Looking in my closet the other day I realized I had 4 beautiful gowns and not one event on my calendar to wear them to- let alone 4! One dress is amazing but just not for a woman my age (in my opinion). I was thinking of consigning them but I would really rather give them to girls that I believe could use them for prom/homecoming. I have held on to them with this in mind for 2 years. This year I will move toward gifting them to young ladies who would like them. I am fortunate to live in an area with a Fairy Godmothers organization. Time to link up! (http://www.fairygodmothersinc.com)

Community wide collection planned to benefit Delaware County SPCA

Residents are urged to participate in week-long event.

(Wayne, October 24, 2011) – It’s not always easy to make a difference in your community. For one week it will not only be easy but convenient as well.  Beginning November 7, 2011 Rodgers Travel Global Journeys will be hosting what they hope to be a community-wide week-long collection to benefit the Delaware County SPCA.

The Delaware County SPCA is a 501c3 non-profit, charitable organization registered with the Pennsylvania Department of State. Established in 1911 as the Delaware County Society of the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, the group has worked for 100 years as a dedicated force for the protection and welfare of animals. From the beginnings of providing watering troughs to today’s organization complete with a Humane Investigation operation receiving 1,000 complaint calls per year; the group is supported almost entirely by private donations. When the Delco SPCA cannot provide care because of a lack of provisions it can become an unfortunate situation.

The SPCA has been working diligently to protect Delaware County’s animals and now you can help. Items collected during the event will be donated to Delco SPCA in the name of the community. A wish list for donations can be found by visiting www.delcospca.org/donations. The list includes items such as peanut butter, newspaper, rice and grooming supplies. The community is encouraged to look over the list as some items can be found in their homes. Items like canned chicken broth and empty plastic Easter eggs- often overlooked in homes- would be of great benefit to the organization.

If you would like to participate in this collection you can bring your items to 512 W. Lancaster Ave (Intersection of Lancaster Ave and Ghallager Ave) Suite C. The collection will run November 7-12, 2011. Monday through Friday drop offs will be accepted from 9am until 5pm and Saturday drops will be accepted from 11am until 2pm. All I want for Christmas....

...is a little opportunity- and it looks like I am getting it. Some things have shifted around and now I have the great opportunity to work with the Grammy Academy on planning an event and an up and comming artist! Good Day! I am very excited about the things that will be happening soon. I am going to have to budget my time wisely to develop a product that I can be proud of an I am eager to start!

Building blocks

I have always been drawn to community service. It has always been one thing that I have been excited to do no matter what is going on. I have decided that I will be offering Marketing Services to people who are attempting to assist thier communities.
